And yet again I’ve managed to fail the simple task of writing an update on my day off. This time, however, it’s more negligence than forgetfullness. I finished my writing for the first half of 106 and had a few hours before I needed to go to bed. Dciding to take a break I took the rare oportunity to spend some time with Menoly.

Naturally, I got carried away shooting shit and didin’t have any time left.

So, instead I’m typing most of this up before work and will finish it when I get home because I need to trim my Bonsai and post some pictures with this update.

So, let’s jump into the things I can cover in this update.

We’re making regular progress with chapters, though not as mcuh as I would have liked. Which, of course, means I’m keeping up the the need but not really building much of a stockpile. Chapter 106 is halfway done and I hope to have it at least 3/4 of the way finished by my next weekend.

Of course I have a pile of other shit I need to get to as well, so let’s hope I can get through ti all. I also realize as I write this that I didn’t even touch the lemon I was working on over the weekend so I have no idea when that’s going to be anywhere close to done.

I really need tro sit down and type up a list fo all the shit I need to do but I really don’t like the idea of looking at it everyday and realizing I haven’t made any progress.

Eh, I’ll get to it….eventually. Writing it all down has been at the top of that non-existant list for months. A few more weeks won’t hurt. Probably.

What else do we have?

Ah, the Patreon is back up to where it used to be, so we’re getting close to that 10% mark. There were some declined payments back on the first that dropped us down to 7.2%. We’re back up to 8.4% and I’m really looking forward to announcing hitting the 10% milestone.

On the subject of Patreon- vaguly- I’m not fired yet, which is good. My sales still suck ass but I had a lucky reak last week that brings me up to like 20% of my required sales and we’re halfway through the month now. Not the best, but enough for me to continue collecting a paycheck for a while. I’m hoping to make it at least six months before I have to leave.

I usually prefer at least a year for my resume, but I’m not sure I’ll make it that long.

But finances aside- and that really needs to go on the list, mine are a mess right now- the Discord seems to be going pretty well.

In the sense that there’s regular usage of it and a constant stream of porn.

What more could we want?

Not sure if I mentioned tis last week, but there’s a seperate server for an RPG bot that basically serves as an idle MUD- and as I type thsi I have a feelign I did- that seems to be almost as popular as the fishing.

With all that covered I only need to post those pictures of my Bonsai- well, I think that’s it- so I’ll be back once I have those. And no, I’m not sure why I write it like this and don’t just act like it was all done at the same time. I’ll just say it’s a monologue style or something.

Aaaaaaaaand we’re back. I got home a lot later than I expected which is a shame because I was very close to having quite the early day and being abel to spend a significant amount of time writing.

It was about 1:30 when my boss- who had stopped to visit me on a job to see how I was doing- had to leave to take care of boss stuff but told me I was nearly done and that they didn’t really have anymore afternoon jobs.

Yeah, they did.

I guess I was the lucky last or something because despite all the jobs supposedly going to give our third-party contractors some work for the day- we call ’em “subs”- I managed to get stuck with a job by dispatch that took way longer than it should have. So my 2pm day turned to a 6:30 day and my writing time drastically shrunk.

But work aside, the Bonsai you’ve been waiting for;

The first two are just after watering them and the following three are after a much-needed prunning. I probably should have trimmed more from Glas- specifically near the base- but I think I’ll leave her for a bit to adjust before taking more of her leaves.

I’m really hoping Goch fills out more because she’s been putting all her effort upwards lately and getting too big for my windowsill. I was under the impression that she’d stop after the first pruning but apparently not.

Another fun thing I realized about them recently- I’ve apparently mixed them up. I was trying to figure out when the leaves would change color and learned that Goch is actually the flame tree, which sort of ruins my deliberate misnaming and what was supposed to be clashing pots.

Figures.

My failures aside, I believe that covers everything for this week so I’m going to try to use the last hour I have this evening to get some progress made on the second half of 106.

Until I next have your attention,

Eyazahrid

And yet again I seem to have managed to completely forget to do the update on my day off. What worse is that I was sitting here at my desk trying to figure out how to use the last few hours of my ‘Sunday’ which would have been the perfect opportunity.

On the bright side, I used the time I would have been writing this to instead start a Naruto x Mito lemon, so I’m sure you guys don’t mind. If I continue to have some free time I can probably have it done by next Wednesday- when I’m supposed to have another update- but we’ll see how it goes.

Hasn’t been much else going on, really. Sealkeeper 105 is done, the discord is going well- and there is, as of about an hour ago, a dedicated RPG server. I’ll have to ask those who are actually using it how it is- and my wonderful Patrons are still showing their support.

I need to go over the list again because we’ve had some new additions along with some declined payments so I’m not sure who I still have as Patrons. It will definitely be included in the next pubic chapter, though.

Oh, yeah, I dropped $30 (monthly) to enable a constant stream of porn in some of the NSFW discord channels.

Yeah.

There’s a reason I have financial issues, I suppose.

It’s seems to be pretty popular, though, so I can’t say it was a waste.

Nothing else really comes to mind for this update- probably because I’m absolutely exhausted from work today, so we’ll call this an update. Lemon progress and Bonsai pictures next week.

Until I next have your attention,

-Eyazahrid

I realized as I was laying in bed last night that I had forgotten to write this update. Whoops.

There aren’t any new developments to cover- mostly because I haven’t settled on a plot for a book and haven’t really had time to dedicate to any side projects- so I’ll go over the progress of current projects.

As I’m sure you’re most curious about it, we’ll start with Sealkeeper progress. So far the 10k chapters ever two weeks has been working fine, as has the early release for my lovely Patrons. I’ve yet to have trouble missing deadlines, probably because I’ve been dedicating so much of my spare time to trying to get ahead.

And speaking of ahead, chapter 105 is currently at 10% and I hope to boost that to at least 20%- preferably 25%- before I retire for the evening.

The Patron only Discord has grown quite a bit, we’re up to thirty members and have no less than four channels marked NSFW. Probably not surprising, honestly. We know what kind of people we are.

I’m so proud.

Just….stay out of Slime’s Cave. Trust me.

And speaking of Patrons, the sixty-third joined us while I was typing this. The full list is as follows;

Together we’ve reached 8.4% of our goal and I’m looking forward to being able to announce hitting 10%. You people are fantastic.

That about does it for this update, I need to get back to writing chapter 105.

Until I next have your attention,

Eyazahrid

Another week another update. Almost missed it because I weas busy chatting with Saint and Sheep. What started as me seeign if having a group of people to bounce ideas off of becamed, well, the same thing as the chat in my weekly stream, really.

Probably should have expected that.

There’s not too much t ocover in the way of new developments or progress at the moment. I’ve had some ideas recently I’m looking into but nothing solid enough to announce here. As for progress I’m about 30% done with 104, which isn’t nearly as far as I planned but I got, well, distracted. It’s a pretty common occurance and it’s a miravle it didn;’t happen sooner with how much I’ve been focusing on getting ahead with my writing.

Beign sick probably doesn’t help, nor does all the Vodka. Regardless I’m ahead of where i need to be but behind for where I’d like ot be.

Next I suppose you’re all waiting on Bonsai pictures so let’s get them up here.

Choch, getting a bit too large for her pot. I should probably trim her soon.
Glas, who has finally resumed growing. Definitely need to thin out her base.

And with the Bonsai having made their appearance, I think the only next logical step is to thank my fantastic Patreon supporters.

46 of you glorious people, thank you all very much for your support. Next week 102 goes public and I’ll have all of your names at the end of that, too. I should probably figure out the formatting, but that sounds like a “then” problem.

We’re at 6.68% of goal which doesn’t sound like a whole lot but is absolutely incredible considering I only just launched Patreon this month.

That’s about all I have for you tonight but until I next have your attention,

-Eyazahrid

I was supposed to post this yesterday but I completely forgot about it. Part of it was just that I’m forgetful, but I’d say a large part of it was simply because there’s been so much going on.

And because Menoly distracted me yesterday, but I give her such little attention that I can’t hold it against her.

So, where to start?

How about with all of the amazing people who have become my patrons?

That’s right, 41 fantastic patrons who have collectively pledged $126 a month to help me reach a point where I can write full time.

Or, you know, just really wanted those early chapters.

Either way is fine.

And if you noticed the math doesn’t check out – don’t you lie to me, you weren’t counting- it’s because Patreon takes 5% plus payment fees. Think it comes out to like 8% or something all around.

But the boring aspects of it aside, 41 of you donated.

Holy shit!

I can’t thank you all enough for your show of support and while we’re still a long ways off from our goal seeing how quickly you all chipped in to help makes me think we might really be able to pull it off.

Gods, I hope so.

But until then, I still have writing that needs to get done between work so let’s finish this up so I can get back to working on chapter 103.

And on that note- progress! I’ve mentioned this already but chapter 102 is done – and has been- and as of last night chapter 103 has reached 70% complete.

Technically I only need to get the regular 5k doen each week to keep up, but I figure that if I spend a few weeks eaking out all the tiem I can to get further ahead I won’t have to worry as much.

It will also free up time dfor some of my other projects.

In this case, I’m bumping ‘Write a book’ to the top of the project list so I can get it published and- more importantly- sold. I have a few ideas, it’s just a matter of deciding what would work best and what I can create a satisfying ending too.

Planning out plot isn’t exactly my strong suit, I usually just write as it comes to me.

Of course, if I was any good at it I could just write smut and fill Amazon with my cheap, sub-par porn. Sorry, “Erotic Novellas”. You have no idea how much I would love to be able to say that I make a living writing porn. I think that would be absolutely hilarious.

But speaking of writing, I need to get this finished so I can do some.

Because I don’t have nearly as much free time as I need all other projects will be put on hold for the foreseeable future, though I will return to them as soon as I can. This doesn’t affect most of you as none of my projects have really seen the light yet but I know there will be a few of you disappointed at the delay.

Sorry.

Streams will continue, I have one every Tuesday at about 6pm (UTC-7) and they last between 2-3 hours depending on if anyone’s watching, how engrossed I become, or how much I know I need to get back to writing because I’m nowhere close to my goal for the day.

It’s usually that last one, honestly.

If people like the idea I might do a “Just Chatting” stream while working on my writing, but I suppose we could all just jump into discord for that.

On second thought, having too many people talking would not be conductive to writing, nor would distracting me. Still,an option to keep in mind, I suppose.

Anything else?

Commentary this Sunday, Chapter 102-B for Patrons on Monday, stream Tuesday [FFXV], Update Wednesday, and then nothing until the following Monday when 102 goes public and 103-A is up on Patreon.

So I think that about does it. Thank you all again for your support and until I next have your attention,

Eyazahrid

We have quite a bit to go over in this one and according to the little scheduled I jotted down in an unsaved notepad file I only have about twenty minutes to cover it all in.

On a very quick sidenote having an actual schedule I can glance at to make sure I’m on track has really helped make today productive.

And on the matter of productivity, let’s talk about chapter progress first.

It’s done.

Chapter 101, the first 10k word chapter I’ve had in a while is complete and has been since yesterday..morning? Either morning or early afternoon. Chapter 101 is scheduled for next Monday, 2019.10.14, so we’re about where I would expect to be for chapters as I finish up my last day off but it doesn’t stop there.

As I write this I’ve just finished 6k words for chapter 102, which isn’t expected to be posted until 2019.10.28. If things go well I may even have it done before next Monday putting me a good chapter ahead of schedule.

Unfortunately this doesn’t mean I can somehow manage a 10k chapter every week going forward because I’ve dedicated most of the last week- every chance I got before and after work- and neglected just about everything else.

As much as I would like to keep up such progress there’s no way I could maintain such a pace for long before burning myself out. So, you might be asking why I’m putting in so much work when I’ve already managed to get ahead and the answer to that is the next part of this update.

Convenient, no?

You may have seen my recent post Support’ posted last Thursday [2019.10.03] which should give you a good idea but for those who haven’t I’ll try to summarize it as best I can here.

While I am greatly enjoying my new job, it has come to my attention that the difficulty I’m having reaching a certain metric- sales- may result in a new job search in the near future. The Field Managers and Operations Manager are doing everything they can to help me gain the skills I need to remain but knowing that there is still a distinct possibility that I won’t make it in this field I decided to go over my options.

As attractive as some of them are, what I’d really like to spend my time doing is writing. I dare say I have at least some measure of skill in it but I never really considered it feasible to support myself doing it.

You probably know exactly where this is going but let me clear up any doubt-

I have recently made- well, re-purposed – a Patreon page for myself. I had originally created it back when I had dreams of being a Youtube Gamer but as that’s far less likely to happen I’ve instead changed it to reflect me as a writer.

Before you close the page in disgust, know that I will continue to provide my work for free. Postings will follow their current schedule for the foreseeable future.

As it so happens I have some pretty bad timing with this because I chose to do it right after I changed over to posts every two weeks so I won’t be able to add it to the bottom of the chapter until the fourteenth.

And I’m sure there will be those among you who believe I did so for the purpose of Patreon but I can promise you I didn’t manage to muster up the drive to actually try for this until after Thurday when my Operations Manager had to call me off a job so she could have a chat with me about my performance.

I did, as you no doubt can, see how I could utilize the longer periods between updates to provide something to my Patreons after I finished and posted the first half of chapter 101 that Thursday evening.

As it so happens being sent home early for the day has some benefits.

Yes, you heard that right. Wanting to provide something for Patreons I posted the first half of Sealkeeper: He Who Binds Chapter 101 as a Patreon-only post on my page. It’s 5k- give or take a few hundred- words long, the same as a regular chapter, and was posted a good three days before the usual upload.

Of course with my update schedule changing it did provide a chapter on a week there would otherwise be no chapter. And that’s when I came up with it. Better than just posting the chapter as soon as I finish it so Patreons can read it early, I can split the double chapters into two and post one each week so Patreons continue to have an update every week.

On one hand it does feel kind of scummy but the other option was just to get ahead and post the full 10k chapter a week before release which would really only put them a week ahead of the public release.

Providing chapters every week-and early- seemed better, even if they’re only 5k chapters.

It’s not much, but I really don’t have anything else to offer people as thanks for their support.

Well, aside from maybe their name at the end of a chapter. If that’s something that interests you let me know because I’m more than willing to list my supporters at the end of a chapter if it helps them feel good about supporting me. Hell, I might just do it regardless, that sounds pretty good.

And on the topic of Patreons, I would like to thank my first two Patreons Nssheepster and The Kevin for showing their support. It means a lot to me gentlemen.

Before I get distracted and forget the second half of chapter 101 is up too, posted yesterday [2019.10.08] almost a week before the full release of the chapter. That’s why I’ve been putting in so much effort into my writing, I want to make sure that if I’m asking for people to support me that I’ve provided something to thank them for it.

After I finish up chapter 102 the plan is to set up a Discord server for Patreons to add additional value but I’m not sure how much people even care. Regardless, if I can provide it I’ll try to make it happen to show how much I appreciate the chance to turn my hobby into my livelihood.

So, to recap- because I ramble and I know it- I have started a Patreon page where for just a dollar a month you can have early access every week to chapters of Sealkeeper and, eventually, anything else I’m working on.

I have higher tiers than just a dollar in case anyone’s feeling particularly generous but I won’t suggest them because I don’t have any additional perks or rewards for the higher tiers.

That’s right, you gain every benefit for just the $1.00 every month- actually, it might have tax. I’m not sure so don’t quote me- and not only is that early access to chapters for $0.25 a chapter- less than buying a newspaper but without the comics or coupons- but it’s also the lowest Patreon would let me set.

Should you visit the Patreon page [ Patreon.com/Eyazahrid ] you may also see that I’ve set a goal. To be perfectly honest, I don’t expect to reach it. Should by some miracle we do, however, I will quit my job- you know, or my next job depending on when it happens and how everything works out- to instead write full time.

I’m not sure exactly what that will mean for Sealkeeper progress- probably nothing- but it would make it easier to do and provide the chance for me to work on other stories for my readers to enjoy. Again, it probably won’t reach that point but the closer we get the less I have to worry about what job I am working.

A pay cut wouldn’t be much of a detriment if I have an income from your generosity and if that pay cut is in part due to less hours then that’s more time for me to work on my writing.

Knowing that, there was no way I could not at least give this an honest attempt.

It’s been more than twenty minutes now so I’m behind schedule and still have to correct this post before publishing it, but that’s also just about everything I needed to cover.

At least, it’s all I can recall needing to bring up at the moment.

Oh, no, I have one last thing. If you’ve ever wanted to know what I look like there’s a picture on the Patreon page -my earliest post- that’s been made public so you can see who it is you’d be supporting and as a thank you for at least checking it out.

And with that we’ll call it a wrap. I’ll see you all on Monday for the public posting of chapter 101.

Thank you for all of your support over these past years, I look forward to many more.

Until I next have your attention,

Eyazahrid

Honestly I’m not even completely sure what I should be including in this update aside from a recap of the new update schedule and that Bonsai picture I promised last week.

Suppose I might as well start with that, actually.

There, not just a picture of both Bonsai but my sister’s cat is in the shot too. She calls him Tarzan for some unknown reason but I’ve taken to calling him Artyom, mainly because it annoys the hell out of her and also because for the longest time she swore up and down that he wasn’t a Russian Blue.

Hes’ a Russian Blue.

You know, in case you had any doubts.

But cats aside, there’s the latest picture of my Bonsai. You may note that Glas is no longer in her small blue pot and is, for some reason, in a large white pot.

The size was so she had more room, which should be obvious, but the color is a different story. As it so happens, the month of September is when local stores decide to start hauling out the Christmas shit for some inane reason lost to the sands of corporate time. What does that mean for the garden section at my nearest- well, no, but most conveniently located- store?

It means the already poor selection of pots becomes even smaller until you’re left with two options; brown plastic or white ceramic.

Plastic just seemed undignified so for now she’s going to be in the white pot.

She also, well, looks pretty pad. Something about her branches is off and I think I may need to trim her a bit. Might even have to remove the second trunk that I was hoping to twist around. A damn shame, that.

But if it keeps her alive I really can’t complain.

Well I can, it just doesn’t’ help much.

And would you look at that? We have content for the update.

Now that the Bonsai have been taken care of, we’ll do a quick recap on future updates.

Starting with Monday’s chapter 100, updates will now be every two weeks but will be increased to 10,000 words. Chapter 101 will be posted 2019.10.14 and 102 will be on 2019.10.28.

This change is partially to satisfy those who have complained about small chapters and partly to give myself a bit more flexibility. We’ll see how it goes.

That said, I have work in the morning so we’ll end this here.

Until I next have your attention,

Eyazahrid

Where do we begin in this update? Hell, what do I cover?

I guess we’ll start with a quick update about work and move down from there. So, I’m not fired yet, which is good, and the money is about the same as I was making previously so I don’t have to worry too much.

I have a bit more free time these days because of it, which is why chapter 100 isn’t just done but has 20% extra to it.

Yeah, that’s right. I have the chapter done early again and it’s larger than normal. As far as you should all be concerned my career choice was absolutely the right decision.

Could I stand to be doing something a little more….lucrative? Absolutely, the sooner I pay off my debts and can buy a house the better but I’m not likely to get something better than what I’ve found.

I just need to manage to keep it- and do well- over the next few years in order to be making enough to hopefully get a house. It would certainly be nice to be a home owner by 30, but we’ll see.

You know, unless one of these damn lottery tickets end up winning the jackpot or I find a way to make money from my writing, either works.

Still, if I can manage a chapter in two days- because I did absolutely jack-shit for writing on Monday- and it’s larger than normal imagine what I could do if I was able to dedicate four or five days a week to writing without having to worry about bills.

It’s a pipe dream, I know, but it’s hard not to think about it.

But work and…work….aside, there’s not a whole lot more to cover.

Bonsai are doing well, I just changed their soil about an hour ago. I would have pictures but they weren’t feeling very photo-ready after the re-potting so I’ll give them some time to adjust.

But we’ll have those pictures next week, it’s a promise.

We streamed yesterday and I finally got to play Borderlands 3 which has been sitting on my desk since release taunting me. I was as good at it as I am any other game so you can imagine how that went. Voice isn’t all the way back, either, so I couldn’t talk too much.

Still, it was good to start getting back into it. As I mentioned in the last update streams are moving to Tuesdays going forward because it gives me Monday to recover from work and I have Wednesday off in case the stream goes on longer than I anticipate.

Beyond that, I don’t think there’s anything else to really cover. Progress on my other writing projects are steady but slow and the side projects I’ve wanted to explore, well, they haven’t been touched.

I’ll have time eventually.

The only thing I’ll leave you with is the curious thought I had while writing this; can I make a living pimping out sex dolls? It might seem weird, it might seem impractical, but is it profitable? How the hell would you determine the need for such a market, anyway?

I’m probably going to spend the rest of the night thinking about it, so hopefully I’ve damned you to the same fate.

You’re welcome.

Until I next have your attention,

-Eyazahrid

Alright, we’re doing this fast because Muse just returned to me about two hours ago and I was finally managing make some progress in chapter 99 despite attempting to write it for the majority of the day.

I might even manage to finish it tonight, which would be grand.

With that said, chapter 99 of Sealkeeper is at 83.2% as I write this and, well, that’s almost everything I have for this week.

No, seriously.

I’m still sick, though these three days off have really helped my recovery. Sealkeeper is still moving steadily along, which is good. There’s been a pause in streams first because of training and then because I was sick. I was going to stream Borderlands 3 last night but with no voice decided it was a bad idea even if it was really tempting.

There hasn’t been much progress on any side projects- though I’ll have some time this week if I finish the chapter tonight- but that’s not much of a surprise.

I was supposed to replant my Bonsai during my days off but have just been too out of it. Hopefully next week I can get them into some new soil.

Other than that, the only real thing to talk about is how my personal schedule is being modified now that I’ve received my regular work schedule.

Sundays are still reserved for Commentaries.

Mondays are new chapters.

Tuesdays will become our stream days, though depending on the timezone it may be very early Wednesday. I’ll work out the exact times when I next announce a stream. Well, I’ll try. I might announce a stream right when it happens in which case no, I probably haven’t worked out the times but I want to play now damnit.

Wednesdays will remain the Weekly Update and, hopefully, the day I finish the chapter for the following week. With our upcoming change to chapter updates it will be every second Wednesday that I plan to have chapters done by but we’ll see how things work out. If you don’t remember what’s happening with chapters after 100 you can check out the 2019.09.04 Update again or wait until the update after chapter 100 where I’ll give a recap.

It will also be in the AN- yes, we’ll have an AN for it- of chapter 100 considering how important it is.

That should cover this week- I know I’m skipping something in my rush- so I’m going to return to the chapter before Muse gets bored and finds something else to entertain herself with.

Time for another update, huh? The bad news is that being in a hotel for training I didn’t take pictures of my Bonsai this morning.

The good news is that I’ve made some progress.

What have I made progress in, you ask? Excellent question. We’ll start with the Bonsai just so it’s taken care of.

Made progress with the Bonsai? Yeah, you know damn well what that means-

I finally decided on names.

The Bonsai in the red pot will be known as ‘Coch’ and my favorite- the one in the blue pot, if you’ve forgotten- will be ‘Glas’.

What do they mean? Red and Blue, respectively. Did you really expect anything else from me? You should know better by now.

The fun part is that the plant in the red pot- which I can’t be bothered to look up and can’t for the life of me remember- is supposed to become purple eventually and the one in the blue is supposed to be- ready for it? – red and orange.

Little bit of irony, little bit of contrast, little bit of effort.

Perfect.

Oh, and it’s Welsh if you were wondering.

Cymru am byth.

But Bonsai aside, we made progress in other areas too.

Sealkeeper, for example, already has chapter 97 ready. Well, not “ready” as in I could post it immediately but the writing itself is done and i just have to go through for typos and such before I post it.

And come up with a name, I don’t think I’ve done that yet.

Nevermind, I went back to check and managed to come up with something. Another item off my list.

What else do we have? Ah, yes, I mentioned last week that I would be doing a Naruto/FemDanzou story to motivate Valkipher to write his own and I think I’ve figured out some of the most critical parts I needed to have in order to start.

I’m assigning that to Saturday, though I may do some work on it Friday when I get back from training just so I can enjoy my day off without any responsibilities.

Actually, I’ll probably end up using Saturday to prep Monday’s chapter because I work Sunday and know I’m going to be exhausted when I get home. Better to only have a Commentary to get done that evening rather than having to do the Commentary and the edit. It always keeps me up much longer than I plan for.

Before I forget a recent comment- you’ll here about it Sunday- combined with what I managed- by some miracle- to get done on Monday and Tuesday this week has me thinking that it would be a good idea to elaborate on the similarities and differences between Yagura and Naruto in a non-narrative medium.

Don’t quote me on that, that last paragraph could be all sorts of incorrect. Still, I’m going to write about the two of them- with a focus on Yagura- and I’ll include it with the weekly update. No, don’t quote me on that either.

I’m going to write it on Wednesday, it may or may not be included in the Update but it will be posted to the site.

On one hand saying things on here helps me get things done because I feel obligated, on the other I don’t have the best memory and I’ve probably;y forgotten a lot of the things I’ve said.

At least it’s saved on here so I can always go back and look, that’s definitely a benefit of writing these.

The last thing I can think of is an important change to how I’m going to update Sealkeeper after chapter 100. Believe it or not I do pay attention to feedback I receive- my commentaries aren’t me guessing or making things up- and something I have noticed pretty regularly for some time now is dissatisfaction with the length of my chapters.

Because of this, I’ve decided that chapters after chapter 100 will be 10,000 words long each at minimum.

Don’t start celebrating just yet.

Because the chapter length is increasing, the time between chapters will also increase and I’ll be updating every other week. This will start with the posting of chapter 100 on 2019.09.30 so chapter 101 should be expected on 2019.10.14.

This should bring back the larger chapters of the past my readers seem to want without completely returning to updating only once every couple months.

I managed to get a chapter done pretty quickly this week- and I’m not sure how- but because it’s an exception to the norm I’m not considering it feasible for me to churn out a 10,000 word chapter every week. Maybe pother writers manage that a day, maybe with my three days off a week I can dedicate two of them to knocking out 5k each, I don’t know.

I used to be able to do it, I remember, but that was before I worked full time and had more free time than I knew what to do with.

So, to make sure it’s an obtainable deadline I’m simply doubling the time I usually take to account for the amount of work increasing. As far as I’m aware, the logic in that is reasonably sound.

Hopefully this middle ground will be more satisfying for my readers.

That’s all I really have to cover this week so;

Until I next have your attention,
